Our third and final post highlighting the team’s favourite apps. If you haven’t read part 1 or part 2, you can view them here: Part 1 – Part 2
Amandy – Nike Training Club App
Amandy’s favourite app is the Nike Training Club App. This app offers a free variety of workouts and training programs including yoga and bodyweight sessions. The app allows you to cast it to your TV, making exercising at home very easy.

David – My Recipe Box
David recommended the My Recipe Box app. My Recipe Box is a free alternative to the many paid recipe apps. With My Recipe Box, you can enter your own recipes but also upload recipes from websites (URLs) and the app will separate the ingredients, directions, and nutritional values into separate sections so that you no longer have to read through a long life story to get to the recipe details. The app lets you plan your meals and helps you manage your shopping list as well.

Sylvain – Merlin Bird ID
The best way to describe Merlin Bird ID is “Shazam for birds”. When you hear a bird and you are interested to know what type of bird it is, simply pull out the app, tap the Sound ID button, and then the app will identify the bird based on the sound. The app can even identify multiple birds singing at once. A great tool for any bird watcher or photographer. The app can also help you identify birds by uploading a photo and keep track of your bird sightings.

Angus – MLB App
Angus Yeh presented the official app of Major League Baseball (MLB), highlighting its user-friendly calendar view and smooth navigation compared to the NBA app. Angus particularly praised the MLB app’s “game day” feature, which provides a detailed breakdown of live game events, allowing users to follow the game without watching it, as well as providing a detailed analysis of pitches, which part of the field the ball is hit to, exit velocity, launch angle, and so on.
