Overview
If the person serving as the Account Holder for your Apple Developer account has left your organization, Apple provides a process to transfer the role to another individual within the organization. The transfer requires that certain prerequisites be met and that specific documentation be submitted to Apple.
This guide explains the requirements and steps involved in transferring the Account Holder role to you.
Prerequisites
Before contacting Apple to begin the transfer process, ensure the following prerequisites have been completed:
- Confirm your authority. You must have the legal authority to bind your organization, as this is a requirement to become the Account Holder.
- Choose your Apple Account. Determine which Apple Account you will use for the Account Holder role. If you already have a corporate Apple Account, Apple ID, or Managed Apple Account, using that account is recommended.
- Have your supervisor’s contact information ready. You will need to provide your supervisor’s name, email address, and phone number. Apple will contact your supervisor to verify that you are authorized to assume the Account Holder role.
Documents Required
Once Apple has been contacted, they will require some documents in order to complete the Account Holder transfer request. As part of the process Apple will send an email with a secure link where the following documents will need to be uploaded:
