Back in 2015, we revealed our favourite apps (Part 1 and Part 2) and we figured it would be good to check what everyone’s favourite app is now! We asked our team to share unique or lesser-known apps rather than the everyday ones we all use.
Mateo – Sofascore
For sports lovers, Sofascore is the perfect companion mobile app. The app covers multiple sports such as Football (soccer), hockey, basketball, baseball, and American football to name a few and offers comprehensive data, including live scores, player information, team momentum, and unique visual breakdowns of how certain plays happened (goals scored in football for example). Mateo was also proud that the app was developed in his native land of Croatia.

The app is free (with ads) and is available on both iOS and Android.
Johannes – NextCloud
Johannes was looking for a way to centralize and store all his family files and photos without having to worry about spending monthly fees from platforms such as iCloud, Google Photos, or Dropbox and still maintain full control of the files. Nextcloud is an open source platform that allows users to store and share data via a simple SMB server hosted at his house. The app allows everyone in his family to view the files and photos created by the other family members regardless of the device they were taken from.

NextCloud is free and offered on iOS and Android, as well as on Windows, OS X, and Linux.
Dan – On The Snow
Just in time for the upcoming ski season, On The Snow is an app that aggregates various information for ski resorts, and aids in planning trips based on conditions like snowfall. You select the ski resorts that you frequently visit or plan on visiting and the app pulls all the necessary information into a single place.

Stay tuned for Part 2 coming next month!
